     HP has always been in news for its new kinds of innovations. Lately, it had launched a laptop with a leather outfit. Now HP has announced the first-ever Chromebook with AMD processor. HP has named this device like the HP Chromebook 14. The HP Chromebook 14 will be the first-ever Chromebook to come with an AMD processor. Until now, we have seen only Intel or ARM-powered Chromebooks.

We have been observing that Google is avoiding Intel because of some issues. This has given an advantage to AMD processors. Now the latest Chrome OS laptops will have AMD processor along with a graphics card. Moreover, the cost of production of these AMD processors is relatively less than Intel or ARM processors. This is why the prices of the HP Chromebook 14 has been set in an affordable zone.

Specifications

The HP Chromebook 14 will be powered by an AMD A4 or A6 processor which will be integrated with AMD Radeon R4 or R5 graphics chip respectively. In our opinion, HP could have chosen a higher version of these processes. Reportedly, there will be two models of HP Chromebook 14. One will have a 1366 × 768 non-touch display, while the other one will have 1920 × 1080 touch display.

Moreover, it will be powered by a 4 GB RAM and 32 GB of storage. However, the storage can be expanded using a micro SD card. There is an old traditional port and USB type c port. HP claims that HP Chromebook 14 can run up to 9 hours after full charge. Hence, you will not have to charge the device frequently. The charging is supported by the USB type c port.

Price and Availability

The HP Chromebook 14 with the latest AMD processor, will be launched later in the month of January 2019. The price of this laptop will be $269. The cheap prices because of the AMD processor. AMD processes are less expensive compared to the Intel processors. It will be produced in 3 colours, white, blue, and grey.

As mentioned above, there will be two versions of this laptop. You will get to choose between a non-touch screen and touchscreen display. Hence, you have to pay a bit more for the touchscreen version of HP Chromebook 14. The touchscreen version of HP Chromebook 14 will cost you around $30 more than the best version.

This is not the cheapest Chromebook. There are Chromebooks which are priced under $250. However, HP has managed to get a bonus for itself by using the AMD processor and not the expensive Intel processor. HP Chromebook 14 maintains the slim design of Chromebooks. Moreover, it is extremely light weighted and can be taken from one place to another easily without any trouble. The ink blue colour looked attractive and gained the attention of the people attending the launch event of HP Chromebook 14.
