Well, there is no word regarding the Lord Of The Rings TV Series Release Date but Amazon is required to start its production within two years. As per to the Amazon Studios boss Jennifer Salke, production on the series is going to kick-off in the year 2020.
There has been a recent update from Amazon executive Jennifer Salke who gave more detail regarding the series and stated, “All of us would love a big, addictive show that is executed at the top of its game.” Salke suggested. “We’re really excited about Lord of the Rings. Despite all the chatter about it, the deal just closed a month ago.”
Salke further added, “It’ll be in production in two years; [but] 2021 is the hope.” Salke explained. “But there are other people who wish it was 2020.”
Lord Of The Rings TV Series: Total Series and Budget
Amazon Studios won the rights to produce at least five seasons of Lord Of The Rings TV Series, of which they have made the announcement back in November 2017.
As per to the Hollywood Reporter, the budget of Lord Of The Rings TV Series is set to be at least $1 billion, resulting in the biggest budget in the television history. In order to produce a multi-season show for television, Amazon Studios has signed a reported $250m rights contract with the author’s estate, publisher HarperCollins as well as New Line Cinema.
Lord Of The Rings TV Series: Cast and Crew Members
The Oscar-winning director Peter Jackson was rumored to be involved in the Lord Of The Rings TV Series but he recently declined all such news and said to a French publication Allocine, that, “I’m not involved at all in the ‘Lord of the Rings’ series…I understand how my name could come up, but there is nothing happening with me on this project.”
Game of Thrones writer as well as co-executive producer Bryan Cogman is also going to be consulting on the series.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom director JA Bayona is going to direct the first two episodes of the series. He is also going to serve as an executive producer, together with his partner Belén Atienza.

The full Lord Of The Rings TV Series creative team was confirmed in July 2019, with Lindsey Weber, Bruce Richmond, Gene Kelly and Amazon’s former head of genre, Sharon Tal Yguado, all executive producing.
Writer/executive producers also comprise of Gennifer Hutchison, Jason Cahill, as well as Justin Doble. And the series is also including Rick Heinrichs as their production designer and Kate Hawley as their costume designer.
