How It is Celebrated Every Year?
Every year there is a marching band, giant balloons and people in the parade which goes around the Constitution Avenue of Washington. The celebration every year starts at 11:45 am EDT and the direction of the vent is about two hours. There is also one more traditionally associated with this day and that is the organizing of free concert on the West Lawn of the US Capitol. The time of the start of the concert is 8 p.m in the evening. Following this, there is the fireworks display on the National Mall that attracts hundreds to thousands of visitors every year. The fireworks depends on how the weather if the place permits. But the general timing of the start is 9:07 p.m.
What’s New This Year?
This year the President Of America Donald Trump has added an event which will last about an hour. The event will take place at the Lincoln Memorial and will begin at 6:30 p.m. the military demonstrations and flyover will be included in that. In the direction of White House, the pentagon was trying to arrange for an Air Force B2 stealth bomber and other warplanes just to conduct flyovers. There will be the presence of Navy F-35 and F-18 fighter jets. It also includes Navy Blue Angels Aerobatics team, Army and Coast Guard Helicopters and Marine V-22 Ospreys.

Trump also used his first independence day in office to put on a picnic for the military families which is followed by a viewing of the fireworks. In the year 1999, President Bill Clinton watched the fireworks from the Truman Balcony of the White House. Five years later, George Bush went to Charleston, West Virginia, and later on, appreciated troops serving in Iraq.

PBS will broadcast the whole concert from the West Lawn of the Capitol featuring the host John Stomas. The names of the performers performing are Carole King, Vanessa Williams, Colbie Caillat, Lee Brice, and the O’Jays. Cameras have already been set to capture all the fireworks of the event. Fox News Channel and C-Span have both announced plans to televise the speech from President. MSNBC will show the highlights. CNN has not publicly revealed its plan. On the day the Federal Aviation Administration will also suspend the operations at Ronald Reagen Washington National Airport from 6:15 p.m to 7:45 p.m by the firework demonstrations.
