The all-new Google pixel stand comes for $79.99, which is quite expensive compared to the normal wireless chargers in the market. So should you buy this? Absolutely yes, if you own a google pixel 3 or google pixel 3 XL. We make this statement because Google reportedly allows the mega 10W power output only for its new flagship, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. It also allows qi fast charging for other phones too but the power output is limited to 5W which is almost 50% lesser than its capacity.
Is Google pixel stand rightly priced?
The pixel stand is available at $79.99 which is quite expensive. But if you look at the features of pixel stand offers, you would understand the pricing mechanism. Pixel stand is not just a normal wireless charger, it comes with ‘Google Assistant’ which makes it simpler to operate.
In terms of design, there’s not a huge amount to really talk about. The stand is very minimal and available in one color only, which is white, which would often require cleaning. It has a circular base along with a ridge and it feels more like rubber than a plastic material which gives it a premium finish. It comes handy with a USB Type-C cable at both ends.

When you place your Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL for the first time, you will see a prompt to complete setup and personalize. The lock screen of your phone turns into a completely different setup. You can take a glance at the weather, news, notifications, traffic by just asking google assistant. You will also find a small button at the bottom of the screen which says “Goodmorning.” Once tapped, the assistant will guide you through the daily timetables and remind you of your plans if any.
You can customize the screen as per your needs. The device gets smarter and automated with time, all thanks to the new generation of artificial intelligence, on which Google is working tirelessly. The artificial intelligence is the future and makes everything convenient by tracking your daily routine. It automatically displays the things you would be needing at a particular time. It will remind you about each and every plan on your calendar. Not to forget is the alarm feature, which keeps a track of your sleeping habit and thus automatically sets up the whole system. You can also manually set it up of course. The screen gets brighter as the sun comes out slowly, which makes you wake up in a more gentle way.

It also comes with a feature to enable screensaver using the google photos. You can select an album and the assistant will pick up and change display pictures at regular intervals.

When it comes to charging, it’s fast really very fast. It comes with an 18W wall-mounted type-c cable that can charge pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL to about 25% in just 20 minutes, which is really impressive. We expect such quality from Google no doubt. So its a must buy if you own a Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL. The only con we found is the poor 5W output for non-pixel devices.
