Ghostbusters 3 Release Date, Storyline, Filming, Casts, Crew, Trailer: A direct sequel to 1984’s Ghostbusters and 1989’s Ghostbusters II is all set to hit the theatres in the year 2020. Well, isn’t it exciting? Finally, after a long wait, we will get to see another part of one of our favorite movies from our childhood.

Ghostbusters 3: Release Date
I believe that this might be the first question that will come up in everyone’s mind so luckily we do have a release date. Ghostbusters 3 is going to be released in US cinemas on 10th July 2020 by Sony Pictures Releasing. Though the release date for the UK is not yet revealed you can expect it any time soon.
Ghostbusters 3: Plot
The new film will revolve around four teenagers which comprises of two boys and two girls as well as it will tell the story of a family moving “back home to a small town where they learn more about who they are”, as per to Pursue News.
Back in November last year, Ackroyd told AXS TV’s The Big Interview With Dan Rather, “I think we have a story that’s going to work and it’s being written right now by really good filmmakers,”
“I can’t say their names. They’re a good team and they are making an effort to bring back all the emotion and spirit of the first two movies and then take it into the 21st century with a vernacular that’s needed today to get it across.”
Speaking about Murray and whether he will make an arrival, he said: “The story is so good, he’ll come, even if he plays a ghost.”
Ghostbusters 3: Filming
Under the working title “Rust City”, the filming of the movie started on July 12, 2019, in Calgary, Alberta, and area, as well as it is expected to last until the month of October. Location shooting in nearby communities like Crossfield as well as Beiseker is taking place for the duration of July and August 2019. Further locations around Alberta are also scheduled to be used.

The cast of Ghostbusters 3 is Captain Marvel 12 years old star McKenna Grace, Stranger Things actor Finn Wolfhard along with Carrie Coon, Paul Rudd, Logan Kim, and Celeste O’Connor.
McKenna Grace, details of her character have not yet been revealed yet but Finn Wolfhard is going to play as her character’s brother and The Sinner’s Carrie Coon as her mother.
“When I heard they were going to call me, well, as you can imagine, I nearly slimed myself,” Paul Rudd says. “I can’t wait to join the cast this fall for ‘Ghostbusters.’ In fact, I’m sliming myself right now.”
Sigourney Weaver is also going to be back as Dana Barrett, and she seemed to hint that she would be joining up with Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd as well as Ernie Hudson for the movie. As per to Weaver in an interview with Parade, all four had been cast as their original characters for Reitman’s film but later she didn’t confirm anything.
She told Parade: “It’s going to be crazy working with the guys again.”
The movie is directed by Jason Reitman and produced by Ivan Reitman. The screenplay is given by Gil Kenan and Jason Reitman.
