Bushwick Bill Of Geto Boys Is Critically ill But Still Alive, Publicist Said

Bushwick Bill Of Geto Boys Is Critically ill: The fatal reports of legendary Houston rapper Bushwick Bill being dead is not true.  Representatives of revolutionary rapper Bushwick Bill say that he has been hospitalized and is in critical condition but still alive, contrary to some reports that states he died late Sunday afternoon.

It was extensively reported previously in the day that the pioneering member of the Geto Boys had died after declaring he had been diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer.

Bill’s publicist, Dawn P., told The Associated Press that “the rapper is on a ventilator at a Colorado hospital.” She further says that the “hospital officials confirmed Bill’s condition Sunday morning and that his family is traveling there to be with him.”

Geto Boys member Scarface posted to Instagram on Sunday in order to declare that Bushwick Bill had died. On the other hand, that post had been accordingly deleted as additional reports rapidly came out crushing that rumor. It was blurred what accurately led Scarface to post that tragic statement.

TMZ immediately reported just after scarface’s post that Bushwick Bill was “not dead” and he had only been “hospitalized and was “still fighting.”

Richard Stephen Shaw popularly known as Bushwick Bill told TMZ in early May that doctors said, “‘We see a mass on your pancreas and we can’t understand because it’s not alcohol, it’s not sugar, it’s not diabetes — they went through all kind of stuff. Finally, by February they said it was stage four pancreatic cancer.”

The 52-year-old further said, “And I’m like, ‘Stage 4? I’ve been getting tested and they said it was just a mass but it was benign. And I’m like, ‘Does benign mean it could be cancer?’ And they were like, ‘It’s just a mass with no purpose.’ So it was crazy to find out that pancreatic cancer is undetected until it’s in the fourth or fifth state.”

He then also said that he didn’t fear death, “It’s not like I’m afraid of dying. I know what it’s like on the other side. That’s not what it’s really about. It’s about life and loving life. I just want people to be aware so that when they set dreams or goals, they’re healthy enough to fulfill and live.”

Pancreatic cancer mainly targeted Black people, but even more troublesome was the fact that very little is known about it, comprising what causes it. Pancreatic cancer basically starts in the tissues of your pancreas, it is that organ in the body which releases enzymes that aid digestion and hormones that help to manage our blood sugar.

Pancreatic cancer usually spreads speedily to close organs. It is rarely detected in its initial stages. But the people who have pancreatic cysts or a family history of pancreatic cancer may possibly detect a problem early by some screening steps. One of the major sign of pancreatic cancer is diabetes, particularly when it happens together with weight loss, jaundice or pain in the upper abdomen that spreads to the back.

Scientists haven’t determined what causes pancreatic cancer, as well as the treatment options,  are limited, as per to the American Cancer Society. On the other hand, there are various risk factors that physicians have concluded were linked to pancreatic cancer, comprising tobacco use and being overweight or obese.

The Geto Boys, on the other hand, is most popular for the hip-hop classic song, “Mind Playing Tricks on Me.”
