Upcoming Avatar Sequels: Release Date, Production, Cast & Everything You Need To Know

                Upcoming Avatar Sequels Release Date, Production, Cast: Everyone must be aware of a movie that was released in 2009. It was an adventurous action sci-fi fantasy film which impressed the audience through its story as well and also from its special visual effects. Truly, the movie is none other than Avatar. James Cameron who is the director of the movie seems to be very excited about the forthcoming releases of Avatar.  He is having quite big plans for the upcoming sequels of Avatar and he also gave hints regarding it while talking to the media. He stated while interaction with the media that he and his team are planning to bring new technology in the industry within one and a half years. He also claimed that this technology has never been seen before. He also made an announcement saying that the first two releases of the movie in 2010 were aiming for the release in 2014. But because of the development of the new technology, the movie release got delayed.   It took time to capture underwater scenes and other visuals as well.

Avatar Sequels Release Dates

The forthcoming Avatar movies are soon to get their release in theatres. Thus all the movies with their release dates and cast are listed here.

  • Avatar: The Way Of Water(2020)

This is the sequel of Avatar (2009) which is now going to release on 18th December in the year 2020. James Cameron is the director, producer, and writer of the movie. This movie will be released after 12 years of the first release of Avatar. Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Sigourney Weaver, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, Dileep Rao, CCH Pounder, and Matt Gerald are playing the lead roles in the movie. The plot is still unknown because as per the news the scenes are captured underwater as there is a use of completely new technology.

  • Avatar: The Side Bearer(2021)

This is another sequel of Avatar whose plot is not revealed yet. Only the release date is known and that is on 17th December 2021. James Cameron in his reviews went on revealing that Avatar 3 will also have underwater scenes in it. James Cameron is also producing the movie with Jon Landau, Rick Jaffa, and Amanda Silver. Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Sigourney Weaver, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, and Matt Gerald have expectations to be in the lead role. The shooting of the movie was started in August, 217 along with the Avatar 2. The other two sequels will start their shooting after these movies wrap up with their release.

  • Avatar: The Tulkun Rider(2024)

Avatar: The Tulkun Rider

This is the sequel of Avatar. For this also no plot is revealed yet but the movie will release in the year 2024. The shooting has not yet started because of the production work of Avatar 2 and Avatar 3. It will be released after 15 years of the release of the first movie of Avatar. Sigourney is returning in Avatar 4 but will play a different role in this movie. The new cast of the movie includes cliff Curtis, Oona Chaplin, and Kate Winslet.

  • Avatar: The Quest For Eywa(2025)

Avatar: The Quest For Eywa

This is the last movie of Avatar series and will be released after 16 years of the release of the original Avatar Movie. The movie is going to get its release on 19th December 2025. Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin, Sigourney Weaver, Joel David Moore, Cliff Curtis, CCH Pounder, and Matt Gerald will be playing the lead roles. The shooting has not started yet but the expectations say that the production will start along with the Avatar 4.
