The AFC Asian Cup 2019 is almost upon us with its 17th edition of the AFC Asian Cup. The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has organized this international men’s football championship of Asia. The tournament will start from 5th January 2019 to 1 February 2019 in the United Arab Emirates.
On 9th March 2015, the United Arab Emirates was declared as the host for the competition. After 1996 finals, it is the second time that the United Arab Emirates hosts the tournament after a long time period.
Firstly, the Group Stage will be conducted and it will run till 17th January 2019. Between 20th and 22nd January 2019, the Round of 16 will be played. After which Quarterfinals will be held on 24th and 25th January 2019. The Semi-finals will be conducted on 28th and 29th January and the last and the Final match is planned for 1st February 2019.
The AFC Asian Cup 2019: Teams
Here are names of a total number of 24 teams that are participating in the AFC Asian Cup 2019. However, these 24 teams are further divided into six groups and the tournament will start over with the matches within the groups. The teams which qualify the matches within the group will then battle with the other groups and the following winning team will move on to semi-finals and finals.
