Motorola One: Price, Features, Specifications And Review

  Android one was a programme launched by Google to make smartphones accessible to all. Motorola one is also an android one phone. But is different from other, how? Let’s see.

The first series of Android one phones included phone from three Indian companies namely Micromax, Karbonn, and spice. Android one program was a hit in the budget segment. Now Google wants to try it in the flagship segment. Therefore they tied up with Motorola to launch a mid-range Android one phone. It is named the Motorola one.  Is it worth buying? Decide it after reading our review on Motorola One device.

Price of Motorola One: $399

We are very familiar with the wide range of Motorola device from Z3 to G6. The Motorola one is something different because it aims to provide a flagship design at a mid-range price. The device is not available in the US yet. However, you can buy it from Amazon and Argos in the United Kingdom.

Motorola One: Review

Motorola One is the first device with a notch display by the company. The device was launched at IFA 2018. It runs on stock android and hence promises security as well as software updates for the next two years.

Besides notch and cool UI, the Motorola One has another big specification, A big 5000 mAh battery, which is just unbelievable. It is priced at $399 per unit. Thus it is a mid-range smartphone and has got a number of competitors.

Motorola One Specifications and Features:

Motorola One has a 6.2 inch full HD display with a Pixel density of (2246×1080). The display seems perfect and premium. You can record and watch 4k videos as well on this device. The Colors seem protruding and bright. The device is made from a perfect combination of glass and metal. Besides the display, One has a 2FA splash resistant coating like most other Moto phones. It is not fully water resistant.

Motorola One is powered by a Snapdragon 636 chipset which is also seen in Redmi note 5 Pro. Besides, it comes with a 4GB ram. Hence, the performance is sharp and proper. We did not find any lag while playing high-end games like pubg, asphalt 9 and many others. The device supports multi-tasking smoothly and the apps are quick to open and respond.

The Motorola one comes with a USB type C port. Apart from enhanced charging, you also get amazing sound, thanks to Dolby digital. The phone is capable of running for 6 hours with just 20 mins charge. The quick charge is real effective.

As of photography, Motorola One comes with a dual rear camera with a 16 MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture. The smartphone managed to render decent pictures in low light as well as in day light. Autofocus works perfectly and captures sharp pictures. Although all feature seems cool at its price range, the bulkiness of the phone may not appeal to some.

So Should you buy Motorola One?

Motorola one comes with decent enough range of specs. The camera, processor looks are all best at the given price range. The main lure is the android one software which promises regular updates. The device comes with Android 8.1 inbuilt but it will soon get the android pie update.

The mid-range segment has better options like Motorola G6 and G6 plus. Even the Nokia 6.1 seems a better option. However, if you are an android freak and like to be up to date with software then go for Moto 6.1.
