Jessica Jones is an American web television series which is created for Netflix by Melissa Rosenberg. The series is fully based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuousness with the films of the franchise, and is the second in a series of shows that headed to The Defenders crossover miniseries.
Krysten Ritter plays the role of Jessica Jones who is a former superhero and has opened her own detective agency. The series is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios and Tall Girls Productions, with Rosenberg serving as showrunner.
The first season of Jessica Jones was premiered on November 20, 2015. In January 2016, Netflix reintroduced Jessica Jones for a second season and the filming for the second season was started in April 2017 and was concluded in September 2017. After filming the second season was then released on March 8, 2018, as well as the third season, was ordered on April 12, 2018, which is planned to be released in the year 2019. On February 18, 2019, Netflix canceled the series, making the upcoming third season it’s last.

The third season of Jessica Jones was ordered in April 2018, just a month after the second season was released. As well as the filming for the season was started by the end of that June, with Ritter making her directorial debut all through the season. The exact date for the release is not yet revealed but the season is scheduled to be released in this year in 2019 and it is going to have the total number of 13 episodes.

Season two was ended with the rising tensions in the middle of Jones and her sister Trish Walker, who murdered Jones’ mother in the season finale (a crime which Jones took the fall for).
Well, the storyline of the 3rd season is not yet revealed but the main story of Jessica Jones series revolves around the Jessica Jones who after the terrible end of her brief superhero career tries to restore her life as a private investigator, dealing with cases including people with extraordinary capabilities in New York City. After her encounter with Kilgrave, Jones started to put her life back together, captivating on a new case that creates her half-heartedly confront her past and who she really is.
