After seeing the poor performance of the team again and again especially after the previous season the management took major steps in order to improve the performance of the team. The franchise discharged Brad Hodge and appointed Mike Hesson as the Head Coach of the team.

About Kings XI Punjab

The Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) is a franchise cricket team in the Indian Premier League which is based in Mohali (Chandigarh CR), Punjab. The team was established in the year 2008 and mutually Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, Wadia Group scion Ness Wadia, Dabur’s Mohit Burman, Prithvi Raj Singh Oberoi, and Karan Paul owned the team.

The team plays its home matches at the PCA Stadium, Mohali. From the time of the 2010 IPL edition, they have been playing some of their home games at both Dharamsala and Indore.
