Jennifer Garner Crowned People’s Most Beautiful Person; Here's What She Said

So, it’s official now that People Magazine has named Jennifer Garner its newest “most beautiful” woman for their yearly issue. Garner covers the magazine’s issue, which hits newsstands Friday, announcing that she is “grateful every day.”

Jennifer Anne Garner is an American actress. She has worked in Pearl Harbor (2001) as a supporting role and gained recognition for her role in the ABC spy-action thriller Alias as CIA officer Sydney Bristow, which aired from the year 2001 to 2006. Talking about her work on the series, she won a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award, as well as received nominations for four Primetime Emmy Award.

Garner in an interview discusses what it means to be given such an honor, which she’s still handling. She joked and said that “People is now a magazine for AARP”. She added, “I have never been more nervous than I am today. I guess I just thought you guys would boo. Like, you guys are expecting Kaia Gerber, and it’s me. And I feel like bolting. I feel like I should go, you know what I mean? Because it’s so ridiculous. It’s silly, but it’s nice.”

“I’m starting to get to the point where I realize this job is not going to be forever,” Garner told People. She also added, “Not in the all-encompassing every meal, every moment, everyday way that I have loved for the last thirteen years. It’s going to shift. But there’s beauty in how it works in episodes.”

Garner also says she doesn’t think through herself as beautiful and even revealed that fans always tell her she is prettier in person.

The actress, 47, said “They tell me I’m prettier in person than I am on screen”. “You might as well see it for the compliment that they mean it to be. That happens, if I’m out and about, every day at some point. I don’t know what it is, but that is by far what I hear the most,” she added.

A number of Garner’s glow may also be credited to her heavenly ignorance of what people think or talk about her online. In fact, when she was asked that how many comments she will read, she answered clearly and simply, “zero.”

“Not only do I not read comments, I work very hard to not see the pictures, to not read articles or to know what’s out there at all,” she said. “And it’s not that I don’t care, it’s that I care too much. Instagram is a different story because I don’t get a lot of people being mean,” she added.

In another place in the People interview, Garner defines her style as “band geek chic,” which made us recall this iconic Instagram of hers where she wishes a happy birthday to Reese Witherspoon with a saxophone. “I was so not one of the pretty girls that I just bypassed insecurity and didn’t see myself as attractive at all,” she added. “It was not part of my life.”

Talking about her personal life, Garner works often as an activist for initial childhood education and is also a board member of Save the Children. She is also an advocate for anti-paparazzi operations in the middle of children of celebrities. She had a five-year relationship with Scott Foley from the year 1998 to 2003, for the duration of their relationship they got married. Garner married actor Ben Affleck in the year 2005 and then they got separated in 2015 and got divorced in 2018. Garner and Affleck have their three children together.
