Top names such as Brendon McCullum, Cheteshwar Pujara and Alex Hales are still unsold in the auction list. Many players were sold at low prices while many players were sold at an astounding price. The previous year, Jaydev Unadkat was sold for around INR 11.50 Crore. Well, this year also, he remained at the peak and was sold to RR with a whopping amount of Rs 8.40 Crore. The auction was held in Jaipur on 18 December 2018. Tamil Nadu’s spinner Varun Chakravarthy amazed everyone at the auction. He was sold to KXIP at a price of Rs 8.40 Crore.

- Varun Chakravarthy having a base price of Rs 20 Lakh was sold to Kings XI Punjab with a whopping price of Rs 8.40 Crore.
- Right-Handed Batsman Jaydev Unadkat having a base price of Rs 1.5 Crore was sold to Rajasthan Royals with a price of Rs 8.40 Crore.
- Left-Handed Batsman and an All-Rounder, Sam Curran having a base price of Rs 2 Crore was sold to Kings XI Punjab with a price of Rs 7.2 Crore.
- Right-Handed Batsman and an All-Rounder, Carlos Brathwaite having a base price of Rs 75 Lakh was sold to Kolkata Knight Riders with a price of Rs 5 Crore.
- Left-Handed Batsman and an All-Rounder, Axar Patel having a base price of Rs 1 Crore was sold to the DC with a price of Rs 5 Crore.
- Right-Arm Medium Bowler Mohit Sharma having a base price of Rs 50 Lakh was sold to CSK with a price of Rs 5 Crore.
- Left-Handed Batsman Shimron Hetmyer having a base price of Rs 50 Lakh was sold to RCB with a price of Rs 4.2 Crore.
- Left-Handed Batsman and a wicketkeeper, Nicholas Pooran having a base price of 75 Lakh was sold to Kings XI Punjab with a price of Rs 4.2 Crore.
- Right-Handed Batsman Akshdeep Nath having a base price of Rs 20 Lakh was sold to RCB with a price of Rs 3.6 Crore.
- Left-Handed Batsman and an All-Rounder, Yuvraj Singh having a base price of Rs 1 Crore was sold to Mumbai Indian with a price of Rs 1 Crore.
