Design
Asus Zenfone 6 has Auckland design and does not have a notch in its display. The smartphone is completely surrounded by the Gorilla glass in order to prevent scratches. The aluminum framing at the rim gives it a premium lock. It has a robotic flip camera which is capable of rotating or flipping. There are no buttons present at the left side of the smartphone, however, you will find a SIM card slot there. At the bottom, you will find the USB type c charging port, speaker grill, and a headphone jack.
The dual camera is located at the back side but it has the ability to flip in order to capture selfies. There is a fingerprint sensor at the back side as well. Asus Zenfone 6 doesn’t officially have an IP rating. However, it is quite expected because a smartphone having a flip camera cannot be water resistant as such.
Display
Asus Zenfone 6 has a 6.4 inches IPS LCD display with 2340 × 1080 resolution. The aspect ratio is 19:5:9 and gorilla glass 6. Perhaps, the most disappointing thing about the smartphone is that it still used as an LCD display. Almost every other company has switched to OLED displays. The OLED display is much better compared to LCD because it saves battery and has better visual graphics. Moreover, there are features like an always lit screen. Hence, Zenfone 6 Weldon of the battery faster compared to the smartphones which come with OLED display.
Performance
The performance of Asus Zenfone 6 is incredible and the entire credit goes to the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. It has an octa-core CPU and is combined with Adreno 640 GPU. The device is available in two variants. One has 6gb Ram and 64GB storage space while the other one has 8GB RAM and 256 GB storage space.
The specification of the smartphone is quite good on paper and also feels the same while using. However, there is any heating issue in the smartphone on giving access load. You can expect it to get very hot if you do intense gaming along with charging. There were times when the smartphone stopped charging because of the overheating issue.
Battery
Asus Zenfone 6 has a 5000 MAH battery which supports Qualcomm quick charge 4.0. Even do the battery size is quite large, the smartphone fails to give an image of output. The average battery life is similar to any other budget smartphone and you can run it for around 7 hours after a full charge. As usual, there is no wireless charging feature available on the device.
Price
Asus Zenfone 6 has a similar specification compared to OnePlus 7 base model. However, the aggressive price and has brought down the price by almost $200. The 6gb Ram variant of the smartphone is available for just $499. While the 8GB variant is available for $599. The price range is quite decent if we look at the features on paper.
