Africa Cup of Nations 2019 Fixtures, Format, Host, TV Channels, Live Streaming: The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations is going to be the 32nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the biennial international men’s football championship of Africa that is organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). This year, it is also known as the Total 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
The tournament is going to be hosted by Egypt. The competition is going to be held from 21 June and will conclude on 19 July 2019, according to the decision of the CAF Executive Committee which was made on 20 July 2017 in order to move the Africa Cup of Nations from January/February to June/July for the first ever time.
The tournament is also going to be the first Africa Cup of Nations expanded from 16 to 24 teams. This is going to be the fifth time that Egypt is going to host the African Cup after the years 1959, 1974, 1986 and 2006 in order to become the country that has hosted it for the most times in the continent.
2019 Africa Cup of Nations Format
At the final stage of the competition, there are total numbers of 24 teams that will be drawn into six groups of four teams each.
The teams in every single group are going to then play in a single round-robin format, and after the group stage, the top two teams and the four best third teams are going to advance to the round of 16.
The winners are going to advance to the quarter-finals stage, and from then on, move on to the semi-finals. The losers of semi-final are going to contest a third-place match, while semi-final winners are going to advance to the final. Group stage games kick off on June 21 and the final is going to be held on July 19.
TV Channels & Live Streaming
The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations is going to be broadcast live on Eurosport in the UK. The Eurosport Player is also providing a live streaming service.
In the US, games are going to be shown on the beIN Sports network as well as they can be streamed live online with the help of beIN Connect.
