WWE Stomping Grounds 2019 was held yesterday on 23 June 2019 at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington. The event was produced by WWE for their Raw, SmackDown, and 205 Live brands.
There was the total number of nine matches that were challenged at the event which also comprises of one on the pre-show. Seth Rollins defeated Baron Corbin In the main event, in a no count out, no disqualification match in order to retain the Universal Championship with Lacey Evans who was the special guest referee at the event.
The additional other prominent matches also saw Kofi Kingston defeated Dolph Ziggler in a steel cage match in order to retain the WWE Championship. Also, in order to win the United States Championship Ricochet defeated Samoa Joe, and Roman Reigns defeated Drew McIntyre.
Cruiserweight Championship
Drew Gulak defeated Akira Tozawa (through pinfall) and Tony Nese (c) in order to win the title. The finish of the match came after Nese was sent outside of the ring after which Gulak landed a torture rack neckbreaker on Tozawa for the 1-2-3 and won the title.
Raw Women’s Championship
Becky Lynch (c) defeated Lacey Evans through submission in order to retain the title in a hard-fought contest on WWE Stomping Grounds. The finish of the match came after a pair of near falls from Evans and then Lynch applied her Dis-Arm-Her submission in order to get the immediate tap out.
Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs The New Day
Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn defeated The New Day through pinfall. Owens trip up Woods from the top rope and attached with a stunner to mark an emotional pin that saw him as well as Zayn celebrating wildly.
United States Championship
Ricochet defeated Samoa Joe (c) through pinfall in order to win the title. Ricochet slipped out of a late Coquina Clutch effort by fleeing over the top rope. He then went on to stay on his feet even after being tossed over by a clothesline in advance of bringing his 630 finishers to earn the pin.
SmackDown Tag Team Championship
Daniel Bryan & Rowan (c) defeated Heavy Machinery through pinfall in order to retain the titles. Bryan combined with Rowan in order to do a phenomenal job in placing over Otis and Tucker as legitimate title competitors.
SmackDown Women’s Championship
Bayley (c) defeated Alexa Bliss through pinfall in order to retain the title. On a Twisted Bliss attempt, Bliss went on to eat Bayley’s knees from the top of the rope. Whereas, on the other hand, Bayley followed with her Bayley-to-Belly suplex finisher for the 1-2-3.
Roman Reigns vs Drew McIntyre
Roman Reigns defeated Drew McIntyre through pinfall. Even after having all the odds, which also comprises of extensive interference from Shane McMahon, Reigns still found an approach to win against Drew.
WWE Championship (Steel Cage Match)
Kofi Kingston (c) defeated Dolph Ziggler through door escape in order to retain the title. It was a creative finish which did its best in order to make up for some extent slow-moving match as Kingston jumped through the ropes and over Ziggler’s crawling body so that to reach outside first from the door on the floor.
Universal Championship
Seth Rollins (c) defeated Baron Corbin through pinfall in order to retain the title. Rollins contradicted Corbin’s another End of Days effort with a superkick followed by a forceful Stomp.
