Thor Love And Thunder: Marvel Studios’ god of thunder is going to make its fourth installment appearance of his solo series with Thor: Love and Thunder which is initially scheduled to hit the theatres on 5th November 2021.
The fourth series of Thor is set to be written as well as directed by Taika Waititi, yes, you guessed it right, the filmmaker who wrote and helmed Thor: Ragnarok and took the series to next level.
Thor: Love and Thunder are also going to bring back Chris Hemsworth as Thor, together with a host of other similar faces from the MCU.
With the help of this article, we are going to provide you every information that we know about Thor: Love and Thunder so far.
Big Announcement by Natalie Portman
Regarding the upcoming series of Thor, actress Natalie Portman made one of the biggest announcements so far at San Diego Comic-Con. The studio revealed that Natalie Portman is not only going to reappear for her role as Jane Foster in Love and Thunder but also she is going to become a new, female Thor.
For the duration of the event to announce her return, Portman surprised everyone by making a surprise appearance on stage. She is going to return to her role, a character which she hasn’t represented in a featured role after the Thor: The Dark World in 2013.
She also spread this great news on Instagram by posting, “So thrilled to share the news with you today at #sdcc2019 that I’ll be returning to the @marvel #mcu as female Thor with legends @taikawaititi @tessamaethompson and @chrishemsworth. (Remember this as the before picture for when I get jacked)”
Tessa Thompson Key Role
Well, Hemsworth is not the only one who is expected to reprise his role as Thor but he won’t be the only prominent Asgardian featured in the film.
The one who made her debut as Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok, Tessa Thompson, is also going to return to play a key role in Love and Thunder. She has also reprised the role in Avengers: Endgame.
The film, on the other hand, is going to reportedly feature Valkyrie’s search for a partner in order to rule Asgard beside her, after she has been given the throne in the Endgame. Valkyrie is also going to become the first, official LGBTQIA+ character in the MCU history.
Taika Waititi Return
Taika Waititi, New Zealand filmmaker, is again all set to direct this incredible film. Taika Waititi has been very praised as well as credited to take on the Asgardian god by lifting up the character as the audience got this great opportunity to see a fun new side of Thor.
Thor: Ragnarok was a blockbuster hit by earning $854 million at the global box office, and this has not only helped the series but also helped in paving the way for Avengers: Infinity War as well as Avengers: Endgame, in which the beer-guzzling, pot-bellied “Bro Thor” quickly turn into a fan favorite.
Well, it will be interesting to watch that how Waititi is going to uplift the story and give direction to the film but we are pretty sure that Thor with Waititi style humor is going to be liked by everyone.
